Today we are going to follow on from my last blog post about social media marketing, where we looked at building your coaching business with organic (free) content creation!!
Once you have dabbled, feel comfortable or have mastered writing copy (text) and posting the right content, paid advertising could be a good next step.
We currently generate around 95% of our coaching clients through Facebook and Instagram adverts, which currently generates us close to 5 figures in monthly sales.
I won’t be able to explain how and what to do in a few hundred characters, but if you wanted to get started and try for yourself, I’m going to give you some tips today!!
Don’t spend any money until you know what you are doing. We made this mistake and wasted £1,000s on poor campaigns.
If you are going to do it yourself, buy a course or watch a ton of Youtube videos to up-skill yourself in paid ads
If you are running ads through a Facebook account, it will be linked to a business page. Make sure your page has at least 5 pieces of content and 500 followers, otherwise Facebook will assume you are not a legitimate business.
When it comes to creating ads we like to tell stories (generally relating to someone’s journey). If you can make it relatable, people are more likely to take action.
Have a strong call to action (CTA) in your adverts e.g “Click the link to reveal how Matt went from broke to making £2,000 in coaching income per month!!”
Use video where possible. Like I mentioned in my last email, it peaks attention and Facebook/Instagram likes content that keeps people’s attention.
Don’t just run one advert!!! This is where we lost £1,000s. Facebook needs variation and things to test against so it can optimise and spend money on your adverts that work. So make sure you give it options to choose from.
When it comes to trying anything new…test the waters, don’t just dive straight in head first. Measure your results, leads, and clients with KPI’s.
If everything looks good, increase your budget and it can be extremely profitable.
